Why BacklogShuffle Exists
So what is the problem we’re trying to solve?
When someone finishes playing a game or is looking for one to find. They are usually so occupied with different aspects of their life that they find it a challenging to engage in a new game without sacrificing their real life productivity.
Backlog shuffle is designed to let you play games that already exist in your library, but that you might have never been motiviated to play. Why play a 100+ hour game, if you only have a few hours a day to start a new game and finish it. Those game lengths really matter in that sense because they ultimately make us drop our attention from finding a game to instead avoiding playing games until we find the right time to do it.
This causes two issues:
- You’ll likely spend more money “catching up” on games by spending more money when they go out on sale.
- You’ll be wasting your time deciding what next to play when backlog shuffle can do it for you.
I know you’re probably thinking. A utility… for deciding what to play next?
Recapturing the Magic
The goal here is simple: we want you to enjoy playing games again.
When we were kids, we had all the time in the world but no money. The time we spent on the few games we had created amazing, unforgettable memories. I want you to feel that magic again, without the decision fatigue.
BacklogShuffle does the deciding for you so you can just get back to the fun. It’s certainly worked for me—I recently let it pick a game and finally jumped into Tomb Raider, a title that had been gathering dust in my collection for years. I’ve been having an absolute blast with it.
Enjoy shuffling friends!
