Is Backlog Shuffle safe to link with my Steam account?
Yes — Backlog Shuffle uses Steam's official read-only OpenID login, which means we never see or store your Steam password at any point. We only receive your public Steam ID, which we use to read your game library and playtimes via Steam's public API. We have no ability to make purchases, modify your account, or take any action on your behalf. You can revoke access at any time from your Steam account settings.

Backlog Shuffle is a fully responsive web app that works great in the Steam Deck's browser. Log in with your Steam account, pick a mood and a time window, and get a recommendation in seconds. The one-click launch button launches directly through Steam, though direct game launching requires a desktop or desktop mode on Deck.
